About This Camp

NBT is excited to announce Session #2 of our Young Actor’s Theatre Camp at the Spectrum Theater: “The Lion King KIDS: The Musical.” With our move to a larger stage, campers will have the incredible opportunity to bring the African savanna to life in a full-scale musical production under the lights.

Camp runs daily from 8:30am to 3:30pm and offers an immersive theatre experience filled with acting games, music rehearsals, choreography, and confidence-building activities. As in our past camps, students will grow as performers while learning the importance of teamwork, stage presence, and creative expression. Throughout the session, campers will work together to prepare a fully staged 30-minute musical performance to present for family and friends on the final day at the Spectrum Theater.

Disney’s The Lion King KIDS has captivated audiences around the world, and now our young actors will step into the roles of Simba, Rafiki, Nala, Scar, and a vibrant cast of unforgettable characters. From Pride Rock to the jungle and back again, students will tell this inspiring coming-of-age story filled with heart, humor, and adventure.

The production features beloved songs from the Broadway musical and animated film, including “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King,” “He Lives in You,” and “Hakuna Matata.”

Young Actor’s Theatre Camp is the perfect place for students who love to sing, act, move, and create while building confidence in a supportive and energetic environment. We can’t wait to see our young performers take the stage and shine in this unforgettable musical adventure at the Spectrum Theater. Register early — spots fill quickly!

Each day is packed with creativity and fun! On the first day, we hold friendly, low-stress auditions so everyone gets a role that fits them. Throughout the week, campers take part in rehearsals, acting games and warm ups. They work together to create sets and costumes, enjoy hands-on crafts, and focus on final performance prep, all leading up to a fully staged show on the last day of camp!

Yes! There is a final performance of our show on the last day of camp. Campers will get the exciting opportunity to showcase everything they’ve learned and worked on throughout the week for family and friends. It’s a fun, celebratory way to wrap up camp and let our young performers shine on stage!

Our Young Artist Theater Camps are designed to welcome campers of all stages!
